After his defeat, the land of Oolacile is freed from the Abyss. The player eventually finds Manus’ pendant and is then pulled into the past where he must fight against the corrupted Artorias and Manus himself. The player is one of that cursed undead and must fulfill Gwyn’s prophecy and keep the flame alive but after a fight against Gwyn himself, the player has left the choice of actually prolonging the Age of Flame or let the flame die out and let the Age of Dark takes place. Manus then search for his pendant lost across time and space.
With the flame artificially rekindled, the undead curse begins to plague humanity, causing certain humans to continually resurrect upon death.Īt some point, a being known as Manus began to spread darkness in the form of the “Abyss” upon the land of Oolacile, the knight known as Artorias was sent to stop him but failed and was corrupted by Manus’ influence. Over time, the flames begin to fade with the rise of humans, and Gwyn sacrifices himself and his soul to prolong the Age of Fire. He and his allies use their power to defeat the dragons, beginning the Age of Fire.
